Well, it seems that the edited segments of Act 3 of Foundation and Desire are an inch and a quarter apart, instead of the one inch as mandated by the FAA. Therefore, we've had to cancel the podcast of Act 3 until the problem can be resolved. We apologize profusely for the delay and ask that you make yourselves comfortable (as best you can) in the terminal. We should have the podcast up and running in a day or so...

At Christmas time, we think a lot about traditions of the past, and about those who came before us. The group of creative people who put together a fanzine called Contact back in the 1970s are some of the forbears of today's Prometheus Radio Theatre. Many of those writers and artists directly contributed to our being where we are today.

It seems appropriate then, that we take some time right now to feature a selection from A Contact Christmas, published in 1979. Steve reads "A Gift of Gold," by Beverly J. Volker and Nancy J. Kippax.

The bad news is that the Friday 'cast didn't make it up over the weekend. I WAY overextended myself at Farpoint with two shows, running the podcasting track, and helping out at the Art Show. Never went to bed before 0400, and was sad to miss J.R. Blackwell and Jared Axelrod, who had to go home sick.

The good news is we had a BLAST hanging with Jack Mangan, Tee Morris, The Command Line, Martha Holloway and Paul Fischer, Marc Bailey and Heather Welliver.

The best news of all is that I got interviews with Richard Hatch, Harve Bennett, Suzie Plakson and Ron Glass, which will be airing in the coming weeks. We'll start with Richard's, just as soon as I can put it together. Hopefully tomorrow. Thanks for hanging in there!

SUPERHUMAN TIMES: The Podcast Series

"Welcome to a world where powerful champions of Good protected humanity from dark forces of Evil.

"A world where Good triumphed over Evil, leaving the remaining superheroes and supervillains with ... well, not much to do, actually.

"These are the stories of extraordinary people with extraordinary abilities leading ordinary lives among the humans they protected, as they all find themselves ... in SuperHuman Times."

SuperHuman Times gets its title from a national magazine covering this present-day world where superhumans are "only" human. For some, it's a challenge; for others, an honor; for others, a tragedy.

It's not that everyone in this world has super-powers and isn't special, or that humans have taken superheroes in stride, or that those heroes are forbidden to use their powers by a government.

It's just that, in this world, the superheroes did their jobs too well.

They rid the world of supervillains. All of them. That's made it easier for human authorities to deal with regular criminals themselves.

So, what does a superhero do in a world without supervillains? How does a superhuman find a place in human society ÃÂÃÂÂÃÂÂ and how do humans live with them on an equal footing?

Can they?

The first SuperHuman Times story, "True North," introduces readers to this world
